Thijin Gatwech is a visionary leader and co-founder of NPN. His remarkable journey from an immigrant and refugee—having navigated life in over two refugee camps and traveled across more than five African countries—to becoming a dynamic force in the United States, exemplifies his resilience and dedication. After arriving in the U.S. in 2007 as a teenager, Gatwech earned a bachelor's degree in Finance and Communication Studies, which equipped him to excel in both the financial sector and community engagement.

With nearly a decade of experience in the banking sector at Fortune 500 companies such as Wells Fargo and Chase Bank, Gatwech specialized in small business and personal finance before transitioning into entrepreneurship. His expertise in corporate finance and commitment to uplifting communities have established him as a transformative leader.

Gatwech’s deep experience in financial markets and community development is further enhanced by his years of service and volunteer work with nonprofit organizations such as United Way, Jugaad Leadership, and various church groups, including Catholic Charities and Presbyterian ministries. As a community organizer, he has consistently tackled issues facing immigrants in the United States. Gatwech’s unwavering dedication for self-sufficiency continues to inspire and empower those around him, making him an invaluable advisor at NPN.
